Course: Band
Description: Fall & Spring Semesters
The high school band functions as a marching band during the fall and as a concert band for the remainder of the year. Students may also participate in pep band, solos, small ensembles, and jazz band. Students are required to take lessons throughout the year to improve their individual proficiency on their instrument. The band has several required performances throughout the school year. This course teaches students many musical concepts, styles, and techniques to become a better musician. Music courses benefit students interested in any of the career clusters.
Grade Level: 9, 10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: Previous instrumental music experience
