Course: Fashion Design & Apparel Construction
Description:
This course follows Intro to FCS where basic sewing skills were learned. Students will learn sewing skills that may help direct them toward a related career opportunity. Students will construct three to four fashion pieces. Some projects students have made are: pencil skirts, shorts, pants, kimonos and a redesign/refashion project. The elements & principles of design that make apparel pleasing to the eye and flattering to the wearer will be explored. Using fashion sketching students will design their own line of fashion.
Grade Level: 9, 10, 11, 12 Elective Credit
Prerequisite: Intro to FCS recommended
