Course: Yearbook Publications
Description:
Yearbook Publications is a year-long hands-on course in which students produce the school yearbook 100% digitally. Students may only join second semester with teacher permission. The course includes all phases of production including theme development, planning content, interviewing, writing content, planning page layout, designing pages, selling advertisements, helping with book sales, taking photographs, writing captions, and basically creating the entire yearbook from cover to cover. Students will also work with online journalism, including posts to Twitter and Facebook, audio podcasts, and weekly digital updates to our school’s convergence media website. Individual transportation may be needed. THIS COURSE MAY BE TAKEN MORE THAN ONE YEAR.
Grade Level: 10, 11, 12 Elective Credit
Prerequisite: English 9 or Instructor Permission - Application Submission Required
