Course: Veterinarian Science I
Description: Fall Semester
Vet Science I & II are designed with yearlong enrollment in mind but may be split into individual semesters. In this course students will have a more in-depth study of the species of animals covered in Intro to Agriculture II course with an emphasis on veterinary sciences required for that species. In Vet Science I we look deep into the bodies of animals and learn about the different body systems inside the animals from cell biology, tissues, musculoskeletal system, circulatory system, digestive system, and reproductive systems.
Grade Level: 10, 11, 12 Elective Credit
Prerequisite: Introduction to Agriculture I & II Preferred but not required.
Course: Veterinarian Science II
Description: Spring Semester
Vet Science I & II are designed with yearlong enrollment in mind but may be split into individual semesters. In Vet Science II students will piece together information gained from Vet Science I class about the body systems of animals with the different illnesses that animals can get. We study causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the many illnesses that can affect our animals' well-being.
Grade Level: 10, 11, 12 Elective Credit
Prerequisite: Veterinarian Science I preferred but not required.
