Course: Small Gas Engines
Description: Fall Semester
Small Gas Engines and Lynx Small Engine Service Shop are courses designed with yearlong enrollment in mind but may be split into individual semesters. In Small Gas Engines class students will cover safety and equipment of small gas engine components. Students will disassemble a small gas engine and identify components of the engine throughout the process. Once the engine is disassembled the students will then reassemble the engine and must bring the engine back to operating conditions. Throughout the work of this class students will be identifying parts and possible breakdown points and troubleshooting. Students will deepen their knowledge of 4 stroke engines as well as 2-cycle engines.
Grade Level: 11, 12 Elective Credit
Prerequisite: Ag Power Technology and Ag Equipment Maintenance Preferred
