Course: Lynx Service Internship (Lynx Small Gas Engine Service Shop)
Description: Spring Semester
Small Gas Engines and Lynx Small Engine Service Shop are courses designed with yearlong enrollment in mind but may be split into individual semesters. Lynx Service shop will be a Work Based Learning (WBL) course where students will be providing maintenance service to customers' small gas engines. Students will learn about business logistics in the service industry; book time to make repairs, billing, quoting, and shop efficiency. Along with the business side of the service shop students will deepen their knowledge in engine diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. Students will perform multi-point inspections to community members’ small gas engine equipment such as lawnmowers, weed trimmers, and other types of applications.
Grade Level: 11, 12 Elective Credit
