Course: ICCC Principles of Crop Production (AGA 852)
Description: Spring Semester
Agronomy and ICCC Principles of Crop Production are courses designed with yearlong enrollment in mind but may be split into individual semesters. Provides a foundation course in agronomy. Applies crop, soil, and environmental sciences in understanding agricultural systems in the world. Introduces concepts of plant, soil, tillage, pest, environmental, and sustainable aspects of crop production. This course will also teach students about the science of crop growth and production, which will be of vital importance when making sound agronomic decisions. Students will gain many critical thinking and hands-on learning experiences which will be beneficial in the industry. NOTE: Students will receive 3 credit hours at Iowa Central Community College.
Grade Level: 11, 12 Elective Credit
Prerequisite: Agronomy preferred but not required.
