Course: Greenhouse Production and Management
Description: Spring Semester
Plant Science & Greenhouse Production and Management are designed with yearlong enrollment in mind but may be taken only one semester upon request. This horticulture course will be spent applying the knowledge gained in the first semester to produce a greenhouse crop. Units include Greenhouse management, fertilizer use, integrated pest management, marketing, and horticulture sales. Students will have the opportunity to produce a bedding plant crop in our 1800 sq. ft. greenhouse.
Grade Level: 10, 11, 12 Elective Credit
Prerequisite: Plant Science highly preferred.
