Course: Ag Construction
Description: Fall & Spring Semester
Ag construction is for anyone interested in the fundamentals of building construction. Students will receive detailed instruction in modern construction practices in areas such as framing, finishing, and roofing. Students will gain knowledge of the construction trade, materials used, hand and power tools, safe/proper tool usage, floor systems, wall, ceiling, and roof framing, and window and exterior doors installation through practical instruction and hands-on learning. The student will use these carpentry skills to construct made to order utility sheds for playhouses. Safe work habits, independent thinking, work ethic, good work habits, planning, and time management will be stressed.
Grade Level: 11, 12 Elective Credit
Prerequisite: Ag Woods, Lynx Woodworking
