Magnet Vocal Ensemble

Beginning in year 2023-2024, West Millbrook will be offering three levels of choir.  There is no prior knowledge, lessons, or skills necessary to participate in Magnet Vocal Ensemble. 

All Magnet Vocal Ensemble classes are performance based classes, and concerts will be for a grade. 

Beginning Magnet Vocal Ensemble will be available to all Year 1 students. This class will teach students basic vocal technique, basic music theory, and sight singing skills. 

Intermediate Magnet Vocal Ensemble will be available to all Year 2 & 3 students. This group will be singing music that is more challenging than the Beginning level of Vocal Ensemble. Students will learn more music theory, sight singing skills, vocal technique, and be afforded the opportunity to audition for Advanced Magnet Vocal Ensemble the following year. 

Advanced Magnet Vocal Ensemble is an audition only ensemble and will be available to all students who make the group. This group will be the most advanced Magnet Vocal Ensemble class and will be provided many opportunities for performance and advancement. Students who are in Advanced Magnet Vocal Ensemble will be chosen to participate in All County Choir, NC Honors Choir, and other performance opportunities.
