Counseling Mission Statement

The comprehensive school counseling program at West Lake Elementary will equitably empower all students to be collaborative, creative, effective communicators who are critical thinkers. Through proactive, developmentally appropriate classroom guidance and responsive services to individuals and small groups, the school counseling program will help students maximize their potential and become the best version of themselves. Through collaboration with administration, other staff members, parents/guardians, and community stakeholders, the counseling program will provide relevant services for each student in the areas of social/emotional development, academic achievement, and career exploration.  

Counseling Vision Statement

All students at West Lake Elementary reach their full potential by being responsible, empathetic, and productive citizens of a global society who desire and have the tools to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others.  They are self-sufficient learners who demonstrate mastery of academic, career, and social/emotional skills necessary for success in both the short and long term.
