Welcome to West Lake Elementary's Counselor Corner! We are looking forward to a 2020-2021 school year that will be different than any other, but one of growth. We are here to support you! Content will updated regularly to provide current information. Our Covid-19 Resources page has info to help our Wallaby students and families get through this time. The district has also provided information about coronavirus, including resources available during this time, school district response, and how to talk with your kids about coronavirus.

Mission and Vision Statements

Counseling Mission Statement

The comprehensive school counseling program at West Lake Elementary will empower ALL students to maximize their potential and become the best version of themselves through proactive, developmentally appropriate classroom guidance and responsive services to individuals and small groups. Through collaboration with administration, other staff members, parents/guardians, and community stakeholders, the counseling program will provide relevant services for each student in the areas of social/emotional development, academic achievement, and career exploration.

Counseling Vision Statement

We are growing young people who desire and have the tools to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others. Our future leaders are strong and empathetic, with the academic, social/emotional, and career-based skills to succeed in the 21st century. They are responsible, self-sufficient learners and productive citizens. We are excited to see what the future holds for our students!
