4th & 5th Grade Nomination Process

Fourth and fifth grade students can be nominated for an initial evaluation for the AIG Program.  Students in grade 5 who are already identified as AIG in either math or ELA  can be nominated in the second area.

Fourth & Fifth Grade Nominations

• Nominations are accepted at any time throughout the school year. 

• Please contact Kathleen Christopher at kchristopher@wcpss to nominate your fourth or fifth grade student. Nominations must be in writing. Include your child's first and last name and homeroom teacher in the nomination.  Nominated students will be considered for testing by the school's SBCGE committee.  Parents will receive notification of the SBCGE's decision regarding student testing before the testing window begins.

• First Semester Nomination and Testing Dates:

  • Parent Nominations due by October 2, 2023 in writing to Miss Christopher.  Nominations submitted in writing by October 2, 2023 will be considered for the fall testing window of October 16-27, 2023.

  • Nominations received after October 2, 2023 will be considered for the spring 2024 testing window 

• Second Semester Nomination and Testing Dates:

  • Parent Nominations due by January 23, 2024 in writing to Miss Christopher.  Nominations submitted in writing by January 6, 2023 will be considered for the spring testing window of January 29 - February 9, 2024.

  • Nominations received after January 23, 2024 will be considered for the fall 2024 testing window .
