This team has been instrumental in creating a common definition of STEM learning that highlights and explains STEM learning as a mindset (See STEM) that teachers in all content areas can practice. The team has also developed a guiding list of instructional and learning opportunities (teacher and student actions) that show how a teacher can bring this vision to life for students and what it looks like when students are STEM learning. The team has created a STEM Learning Walkthrough Tool for elementary, middle, and high school. The team has worked to create STEM Graduate Profiles to show what students should know and be able to do at gateway years. The team has curated resources for IBL/PBL and shared innovative instructional practices at multiple conferences, including NCSTA and NCSSS.
