Wake Green Schools Partnership is a collaborative forum that brings together teachers, staff, administrators and community partners to share knowledge and resources about, ask questions, and provide support for sustainability and environmental literacy. The goal is to empower every Wake County school from Apex to Zebulon to become a “green school” where learning about the environment and its care is integral throughout the multidisciplinary school curriculum, indoor school buildings, and outdoor school campuses. By engaging K-12 students in the design, installation and maintenance of sustainable practices, they practice problem-solving and apply critical and creative thinking skills to real-life problems that make them job and college ready as environmentally literate adults.
