Q: Where can I find service opportunities?
A: All opportunities are listed here on our website. You may ONLY use opportunities posted on this website to count towards the sponsored hours requirement.
Q: How many hours do I need?
A: All members must complete 20 service hours. 10 of those hours MUST be sponsored opportunities.
Q: What is the maximum amount of hours I can get for each activity?
A: In an effort to broaden your volunteer experiences, you may earn up to FIVE hours for any activity you complete. We encourage you to complete service of any length of time, but no more than five hours in any one place can be earned towards your 20 for NHS.
Q: How many absences can I have?
A: You can get up to two absences for any reason before your membership in NHS will be terminated. We meet once a month and all members are expected to attend each meeting for important updates and information. There are no excused or unexcused absences, so you don't need to let the advisor know.
