About Me

I teach Academically or Intellectually Gifted students at Dillard Drive and Swift Creek Elementary Schools. For the 2024-2025  school year, you can find me at DDMES on Monday afternoons, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. I'm at SCES on Mondays mornings, Thursdays, and Fridays.

My favorite animals are cats and wombats. We have four cats (Veronica, Toby, Whiskers (AKA Baffi), and Button). My husband and I have two daughters who are both adults. One is living away from home and the other moved to India. n.)

I enjoy writing poetry, reading, and solving logic puzzles (especially picture logic).

I was born in Alaska, but grew up in Pennsylvania. I attended Penn State and earned a BS in Elementary Education (with Honors).

I've been teaching AIG in Wake County since 1995. For the four years prior to that, I taught middle school in Warren County, Virginia.
