Brag Sheets are a way for students to share their interests, aspirations, and goals for the future and the extracurricular activities they have participated in both in and outside of school. These sheets help teachers, counselors, and administrators to include valuable information about you when they write their letters of recommendation. It is similar to a resume but more specific. Most students complete this in their ED 104 class. Please keep in mind, that without these sheets, staff may not be willing to write a letter of recommendation for a student.
When completing your brag sheet, keep these points in mind:
It is called a brag sheet for a reason. Don't be shy about listing all of the things you have done both in and outside of school.
Be honest. We want you to brag about the things you have done, but you must be 100% truthful.
Please list any honors you have received such as the awards students receive at the end of the year school picnic. You may also list awards you have received from organizations outside of school such as your faith organization, a community organization such as scouts or other civic clubs, any athletics you have participated in and volunteer activities.
Don't skip the long answer portion of the brag sheet. This is the portion that asks you to write long-form responses to questions about how you view yourself and your future goals.
