1. Early Decision (ED):

2. Early Action (EA):   This is the deadline type I encourage most students to use.

   • Deadline: Also around November 1st.

   • Non-binding: You can apply to other colleges.

   • Advantage: Early notification of admission decisions and higher admission rates.

3. Regular Decision (RD):

   • Deadline: Typically between December and January.

   • Non-binding: You can apply to multiple colleges.

   • Advantage: More time to prepare applications.

4. Rolling Admission:

   • Deadline: Ongoing, usually starting in the fall.

   • Non-binding: Colleges review applications as they come in.

   • Advantage: Quick response—usually within a few weeks.
