Volleybros
Volleybros is one of Sanderson's annual Food Drive traditions. The women's varsity volleyball team coaches a men's volleyball team from each grade level. All proceeds from this event are donated to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC.
Team Selection
There can be 14 students on the team for each grade level. If more than 14 students sign up, there will be a random drawing to determine who is on the team. Sign-ups will close on Tuesday, October 17 at 2:30 PM. Teams will be announced via student email in the evening on October 17. Students are selected randomly, and no special exceptions are made. The sign-up link is at the bottom of this page.
There will be an optional interest meeting on Monday, October 16 at 2:30 in the media center. The meeting should last about 15 minutes. Attending the meeting is optional, but it earns you an extra entry in the drawing to be selected for a team and gives you a chance to hear more information and ask questions.
If you are selected, you MUST buy a T-Shirt that will be your jersey for the game. Shirts will cost $15 dollars. Even if you end up not participating, if your name is pulled, you are responsible for buying the shirt. Need-based sponsorships are available for shirt purchase; please see Mrs. Chamblee If you need help purchasing your shirt.
If you are selected, you MUST fill out the permission form before you do any kind of practicing. This form will be turned into your coach.
If you sign up and cancel after practices have started, you will not be eligible to play the following year.
Practices
You must attend at least 2 of the 3 practices to play. If you can't attend at least 2 practices, DON'T sign up to play!
All teams will practice at Sanderson High School from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM In the gym on the following days:

Monday, October 23
Tuesday October 24
Game Day Information
The Volleybros game is Wednesday, October 25 starting at 5:00 to 8:00 in the Sanderson gym.
Admission to the game is $5, and sports passes are not valid for this event. This is a food drive fundraiser!
Game Day Format:
The first game is Freshmen vs. Seniors and will begin at 5 PM. The second game is Sophomores vs. Juniors and will begin 15 minutes after the first game ends. The third game is the championship game between the two winning teams. If time remains at the end, the championship winners will play the varsity women's volleyball team.
