The Southeast Raleigh Elementary Media Center is a 4,800 square foot space on the main floor of the building. It has a designated fiction section, nonfiction section, biography section, everyone section, and graphic novel section which house just under 16,000 total print books, with around 500 of those being eBooks or eAudiobooks. The nonfiction section has a classroom setup that can seat 24 total students or staff members. There are six tables of four desks on wheels that allow easy rearranging as needed. The fiction section of the library houses a second learning space with 20 spaced out velcro floor dots for lessons on the floor. There is also a rug with a chair for storytime in the everyone section and two tables by the windows for maker space centers. The everyone section is located in the front of the library along the outside entrance walkway to the school. This section has three large floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the YMCA pool. These windows span the first and second floor of the library as the library is open to the second-floor common spaces and maker space STEM lab that is located upstairs.Â
