PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS
Students must obtain a minimum of 18 credits to be promoted.
Three must be English I, English II and English III and enrollment in remaining courses to graduate.
JUNIOR TIPS FOR SUCCESS
Meet with your high school counselor to make sure you are on track for graduation and that your courses align with your post-high school plans.
Note: ALL Juniors will have a meeting with their counselor during their English III class.
Utilize THIS CHECKLIST to stay on track for college!
Develop time-management skills and get more out of your time in high school.
Establish a routine for completing school work more efficiently and effectively.
Take on leadership roles in the clubs and sports.
Get Involved! Sign up to volunteer and serve in the community and an organization
Challenge Yourself! Consider taking more rigorous courses such as Honors or Advanced Placement. Learn about the AP Program and how it can lead to college credit, advanced placement, or both at most colleges in the U.S.
Take the PSAT in the Fall. ALL Juniors will take the ACT in the Spring at SGHS end of February/early March
