Mrs. Kennedy

Welcome to Ms. Kennedy's class! I am so happy and excited to welcome all of you into my classroom . This is my 17th year teaching in Wake County and my fifth year here at Adams Elementary. I have spent my entire career in education and cannot wait to begin teaching a new school year again. 

I am originally from Dublin, Ireland but have called North Carolina home for over 29 years now. I am a proud graduate of UNC Greensboro. This is my sixth year in second grade having taught kindergarten for seven years. I have a passion for instilling the love of reading in my students and watching them reach their fullest potential. 

When I am not in the classroom, I can be found spending time with my husband, Gabriel, and my two adult children, Lorcan and Bevin. My son Lorcan will be attending UNC-Chapel Hill for his PhD in Media and Communications and my daughter Bevin will also be attending UNC-Chapel Hill for her Md/Phd with the school of Medicine and Pharmacology, starting this fall.  I also love to spend my time reading a good book, knitting, and gardening. On the weekends, I am kept busy attending yoga classes and walking my two little Yorkies, Bisto and Oxo.
