Mission Statement:

To do whatever it takes to honor and educate, so all learners will grow in character and knowledge as successful, productive citizens. 

Vision Statement:  ​

Salem Elementary School will be a positive, safe, trusting, and nurturing learning environment where the diverse needs of all learners will be met collaboratively and enthusiastically by educators students, parents, and the community. 

Confidentiality Statement:

School counselors recognize their primary obligation regarding confidentiality is to the student but balance that obligation with an understanding of the family or guardians’ legal and inherent rights to be the guiding voice in their children’s lives (ASCA, 2016). 

We have an ethical and legal obligation to keep information contained within the relationship. Confidentiality is the ethical and legal term ascribed to the information communicated within the counseling relationship, and it must be maintained unless keeping that information confidential leads to foreseeable harm. (ASCA, 2016, A.2.e)
