Hi Pipers! I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to serve as your music teacher. Music has been my passion since I was a young child. I formally started singing with the Albuquerque Girls’ Choir when I was eight years old. Throughout high school, I honed my vocal skills by taking private music lessons, being a member of our high school concert and swing choirs, singing in our church choir, participating in several school musicals, and being a member of the Anchorage Concert Chorus. I also played the violin for three years as an adolescent. More recently, I have been involved in church choirs and praise teams as well as singing for various community events. I am currently advancing my personal musical education by continuously working to improve my piano skills and learning how to play the flute.
I hold a Bachelor of Music from the University of Maine Augusta, with a concentration in Music Education. I am certified for Estill Figure Proficiency (EFP) for vocal coaching and I am an accredited Kindermusik Educator. This will be my third year as an elementary music teacher.
I am married with two wonderful daughters. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, read, travel, swim and of course, sing!
