My name is Ally Shaw, and I am SO excited to work alongside Mrs. Lori Shaw (yes, we have the same name...bear with us) and to continue growing my relationships with my sweet Sandpipers! This will be my third year as a school counselor, and I feel incredibly lucky to have this community surrounding me. While I'm originally from Long Island, New York, I moved down to North Carolina for college, and it has felt like home ever since. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Neuroscience, and I then returned to UNC to receive my Master's in School Counseling (GO TAR HEELS!).

When I'm not working as a school counselor, I love spending time with my cats, Charley (pictured above) and Puma, and my little guinea pig, Nugget. I also love reading books, exercising, singing, listening to music, and volunteering at the animal shelter. Fun fact: Ms. Shaw can juggle! And almost certainly will show this talent off at some point this year!
