About Mrs. Lori Shaw
I am excited to become a Sandpiper this year! I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I attended Cleveland State University on a swimming scholarship and obtained a BS in Education. While teaching high school, I earned a Master’s in Education at Ashland University. Working in the high school, I decided to go back once again and earn an additional Masters in Education in School Counseling from John Carroll University. Moving to Durham, NC in 2000, I began my career as an Elementary School Counselor. I have been in WCPSS since March, 2015. My husband and I have 2 sons (Connor & Declan) and we enjoy being active outside, watching our boys on a soccer field, hiking with our dog Millie, swimming or just being together. 💕
