Who am I and What brought me to Panther Creek High Schools?
What do I like to do?
Anything outdoors!! I like to ride my bicycle on the greenways (American Tobacco Trail and the Neuse River Trail). I love to paddle board and be on and in the water. Kim (my wife) is from Michigan so she has gotten me out to do things during the winter months - skiing, running, and this Christmas when we travel up see her mom than we are going to go snowshoeing. I often joke that I workout so that I can eat. I love to cook and bake - trying new things!!
Career:
I graduated from UNC at Pembroke in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Science Education with a concentration in Earth Science. After I graduated I taught Earth Science at Randolph Early College High School in Asheboro, North Carolina. I taught there for four years. Afterwards, I worked with a nonprofit in Southport, NC writing science curriculum and teaching for a semester. After being out of the classroom I realized that I missed working with students on a daily basis so I started teaching at Wake Young Men's Leadership Academy. I graduated with my masters from Montana State University (Bozeman) in 2014. I will eventually go back to school to get my doctorate - I just do not know what I want it in yet. I was at that school for 4.5 years until I accepted a position at Panther Creek High School. I have heard amazing things about Panther Creek High School and I am super excited about teaching here.
