Summary of Unit 5 Topics:
Unit 5 Notes and Study Guide
Due 3/18 during class.
The unit study guide answer sheet will be posted at 3:00 pm on 3/18.
Therefore, make sure that you have it done BEFORE class on 3/18. Since answers will be posted I will not accept late submissions. Study guides are on the 4,3,2,1 scale so if you do not submit the study guide than you will earn a 40 for the assignment. If you are absent then on 3/18 then it will be exempted.
Unit 5 Homework: Different days are due at different times. The answer key will not be posted, however I have the answer key in the classroom if you want to see it. However, no pictures can be taken of the answers.
Day 1, 2, & 3 due on 3/11 Day 4 & 5 are due on 3/13 Day 6 & 7 due on 3/15
Day 1: Types of Reactions
Day 1: Predicting Products
Day 2: Balancing Chemical Equations
Day 3: Balancing Chemical Equations
Day 4: Writing Chemical Equations
Day 5: Net Ionic Equations
Day 7: Finish Lab
Day 8: Finish Study Guide
Unit 5 Worksheets & Labs
This is the activity that students will complete that will introduce them to the topic of balancing chemical reactions. It is be the basis for the unit and we will create classroom notes based on the activity. You will need to write the answers in your notebook.

Day 1: Physical and Chemical Properties and Changes
Unit 5: Videos
This video does a great job describing the process of balancing chemical reactions.
This introduces you to the five main types of chemical reactions.
This is a video that explains the ionic and net ionic equations. He provides many real life examples in his video.
