This Efficacy Study Data was used to advocate for the renewal of Oak Grove's BrainPop subscription. BrainPop is a relevant and safe resource that is widely used by teachers and students at our school, as shown in the survey report below. This speaks to our objective "The MTAC models using evidence and data in decisions regarding digital tool acquisition, curation, and use."
Digital Citizenship Week was October 14-October 18, 2019. Each morning of that week the MTAC sent an email to teachers with suggested activities pertaining to a particular digital citizenship topic, and these activities were planned out in the document above. During Digital Citizenship Week teachers were encouraged to tweet about how they promote online safety in their classrooms, as seen below. Through these activities, the library media coordinator collaborated with teachers to integrate instruction that educates students about their data privacy.
