Aimee Allen

K-2 Counselor 

This will be my 23nd year as an elementary school counselor.  I enjoy encouraging and inspiring students to be their best selves.  I grew up in New Bern, NC and graduated from Meredith then completed my MA in Counseling at ECU.  I am married and have boy/girl twins who are 16 years old.  We like to go hiking, play games, cook, watch movies and play board games together.  I also enjoy exercising, traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.  I am looking forward to partnering with the staff and families at North Ridge to make it a place where all students feel connected and loved.

Darryn Nichols

3-5 Counselor

I have many years of school counseling experience in the state of Indiana, but this will be my very first year as a School Counselor in the beautiful state of North Carolina!  What I love most about my job, is helping students through their unique challenges and being there to celebrate their growth. I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I received my Master's in School Counseling at Indiana/Purdue University in Fort Wayne.  I am married and we have 2 girls and 4 boys. Several of my interests are cycling, hiking, golfing, traveling and spending time with family.  I am truly looking forward to getting to know the families and staff who make up the North Ridge family this year!
