During the class period students are allowed to throw away trash or tissue at any time. They do not need to seek permission for this. The expectation is that they are respectful when doing so and it is not in excess.
In our classroom we use ClassDojo to provide rewards and consequences for student behavior. Students are able to earn positive points for being on task, participating, working hard, showing kindness, returning homework and being a student leader. Students lose points for being disruptive, being off-task, being disrespectful, not returning homework or being unprepared.
Parents/guardians can create an account and see their students' progress daily to support classroom expectations at home. Ask Ms. Ivey about your special code to join!
Daily: Students with 10 points in 1 day get a prize from the treasure box!
Weekly: Students with 95% or above will receive a small reward out of the door.
Monthly: Students with 95% or above will be recognized in class and have the option to choose from the prize box or pick/create another incentive approved by Ms. Ivey.
Quarterly: Students with 95% or above will be recognized, receive an award and have lunch at the park.
