Reading
Students will continue to practice how to retell a story with a deep focus on discussing characters in fiction stories.
Students will learn about their world through reading. They will use informational texts to discuss what they are learning.
Students will work together to research a topic and become experts.
Letterland
Tap and blend some long vowels, letter pairs (qu, sk, st, sl, sp, gl, bl, cl, etc.) chunks of sound (all, am, an), and Letterland best friends (ff, ll, ss) words.
Recognize long vowel sounds verses short vowel sounds.
Math
Counting to 150 and extending a counting sequence
Understand that the 2 digits of a number represent the amount of tens and ones
Comparing 2 digit numbers based on tens and ones
Reading and writing numerals
Measuring and Ordering three objects by length
Collecting and reading data (simple graphs and charts)
