4th Period Semester 2
ENGLISH II This academic world literature course is designed for the student who aspires to post-secondary college or vocational experience. This class focuses on reading, writing, speaking and listening, and language. Students should expect homework assignments and/or compositions that reinforce classroom instruction. Writing instruction at this level focuses on mechanical correctness, fluency, and structure. In OCS, we will focus on basic sentence structure, paragraph structure, coherence(staying on topic), supporting arguments and details, transition words, and reading phonetics and comprehension at student instructional level.
I provide differentiation and scaffolding for all assignments based on student needs. As this is an Occupational Course of Study English class I also integrate reading strategies and instruction into the curriculum.
English II will take the English II EOC. English II EOC information
