Mrs. Mims

My name is Tamara Mims and I am a native of Charleston, South Carolina. I  graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC with a Bachelor of Science, Special Education Degree.  I taught students with intellectual and physical disabilities for six years before becoming a stay at home mom. This is my 12th year teaching Kindergarten at Sycamore Creek.  I enjoy spending time with my family and husband of 33 years. We have two awesome adult children and a sweet daughter in law. AND.... a beautiful grandson Sawyer!  We are a family of sports fans, especially baseball and we love watching the New York Yankees , Dallas Cowboys and of course our "Carolina Hurricanes"!  Let's Go Canes!  When I am not at school I enjoy the beach, gardening and cooking.  I love being apart of the Sycamore Creek Family and look forward to a wonderful year watching  your precious children learn and grow.ill, S
