Phonics

For phonics, we will use the Letterland series. Letterland is a phonics based approach to teaching reading, writing, and spelling. Letterland is an imaginary place where characters are transformed from plain black letter shapes into kid-friendly pictograms. All the Letterlanders have stories that explain letters, sounds and shapes, as well as other phonics facts. Parents can click this link to hear the songs, action tricks, stories and learn more about Letterland. Below are an explanation of the Letterlanders and their "action tricks".

In Kindergarten, students will learn about forces & motion, matter properties & change, weather, and structures & functions of living organisms.
