Hello Wolfpack Family!
I am excited to be a part of the Olds community and every year look forward to getting to know our new kinder pups in the P.A.C.K. I am entering my 11th year teaching the most amazing grade level, kindergarten. There is no place like kindergarten! Kindergarten is a magical stage for nurturing each child's natural curiosity to learn through movement, singing, play, collaboration and laughter! Fostering a growth mindset and allowing students to practice self-regulation strategies is the key. The two skills combined provide students with the ability to approach challenging tasks and enjoy the lifelong process of learning.
I started my educational journey at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Let's go Mountaineers! I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from ASU. I am a North Carolina girl born and raised! I love taking hikes in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. After receiving my degree I stayed in Boone and taught Kindergarten at Hardin Park Elementary for 5 years before moving to Raleigh.
