Course Description:

These courses offer instruction in principles of business, entrepreneurship, business etiquette, team building, and leadership. Students will learn how to differentiate between a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, and franchise. Students will also dive deeper into business concepts such as finance, business management, information technology, marketing, and small business management. These courses are full of real world examples, and they will help students understand the business world around them.

Exploring Business & Entrepreneurship (first nine weeks) - Course Outline:

1.00: Understand the Principles of Business

1.01: Understand the purpose and the functions of a business

1.02: Compare the main types of business organization: sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, and franchise

1.03: Classify businesses as profit-making; and service, product, or combination

2.00 Understand the Concept of Entrepreneurship

2.01: Recall personal characteristics and skills needed for a successful entrepreneur

2.02: Understand entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial process

2.03: Understand the procedures and requirements for starting a business


Exploring Business Procedures and Leadership (second nine weeks) - Course Outline:
