A little bit about me...

I was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, with my parents and six brothers and sisters.  After graduating from the University of Missouri in Columbia (go Tigers!), I moved with my husband to Athens, Ohio. During the six years that we lived in Ohio, we had our daughter, Meaghan, and twin sons, Kevin and Nathan. Following a few more years back in St. Louis, our family lived in Augusta, Georgia, for ten years before we moved to North Carolina in 2008.

I taught at Salem Middle School for two years until I moved to Mills Park Middle when it opened in 2010.  I taught 8th grade Social Studies for the first ten years at MPMS before I joined the Mills Park CTE Team! 

My husband is a chemical engineer consultant, and all three of our children live and work in the Raleigh area.  Meaghan is a fifth grade teacher at Mills Park Elementary, Kevin is a computer software engineer at Fidelity Investments, and Nathan is a mechanical engineer for Altec.  All three of my kids are married, and I have four beautiful grandchildren!

I have an eight year old dog, Luna, and when I'm not in school or doing school work, I enjoy spending time with my family, my friends, and my fur baby.  I love a good book; I watch a LOT of movies, and I may be the world's biggest Chick Fil A fan!
