Welcome to 4th Grade!
I welcome you to the new school year and look forward to an exciting experience filled with challenges and lots of fun! A C-cooperative, H- honest, O- on task, M-mindful and P- prepared environment is what I strive to provide for our students at Sycamore Creek Elementary.
We are dedicated to providing all children with a caring, positive, and successful learning experience, even though we will begin the school year virtually.
Preparing for the upcoming year......
Ensure that your child has accessibility to a working laptop/device and charger (Chromebook) from WCPSS.
Please review this website and check your email for important documents that I have personally sent to my 2025-2026 homeroom class. Print out supply lists, class calendars and complete any parent informational forms before the first day of school, July 28th.
Students will need to log into their Wake County Portal using their student email (ex. cmyahn@students.wcpss.net) and then use their student number as the password. Students will need to bring their WCPSS device to school everyday for instructional purposes.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to communicate with me at any time! Parent/ Teacher communication is key! My email is cyahn@wcpss.net.
Please use our 4th Grade website (linked to the school's main page) for important technology and curriculum resources, supply lists, schedules and links to your child's specific 4th grade teacher.
Please take time BEFORE the first day of school to READ and print off all of the information and attachments that have been emailed to you prior to the start of the school year. Parent Information, Welcome Note, Supply List and other important forms will be included. Filling out information ahead of time will help me to make your child's transition to fourth grade as smooth as possible.
The first day of school for students is July 28th.
Our Track 4 Open House & Meet the Teacher is currently being scheduled, but I will email our class the date and times as soon as possible! There will be two sessions provided during this time.
