6th Grade

Hello Mills Park 6th Graders and Families!   I’m Ms. Francavilla and I’m so happy to be working with you this year.  Middle school can seem like a challenge, but remember, we are here to help.  I am the counselor for the Challengers and Pathfinders teams, and Ms. Finley and Ms. Schershel's homerooms from the Trailblazer's team.  Ms. Vroome and I work closely to help all of our 6th graders at MPMS.  

This is my 17th year in education and I truly enjoy getting to know middle school students.  Growing up, I lived in Williamsburg, VA and attended James Madison University.  I also lived in Pittsburgh, PA for several years (go Steelers!)  

I love walking with my dog, Cha Cha, and spending time with my family.  I believe in looking forward; there are always good things to come.

It's going to be a great year at Mills Park. My hope is that you will truly enjoy it and I'm here to help you make that happen!

Hi, my fellow Leopards!  I'm Alison Vroome and I'm excited to be one of your 6th-grade counselors this year.  

I look forward to getting to know you all and connecting with you in different ways.  I specifically will work with the Ambassadors, Guardians, and Trailblazers teams this year but I'm always available to any student and have a true passion for working with 6th graders.

I'm a former 6th- grade teacher and I taught Social Studies, as well as math for my first 21 years as an educator.  This is my sixth year as a 6th-grade counselor here at MPMS and I love being able to partner with teachers and families to advocate for all my students.  You will see me a lot this year in the classrooms, hallways, and the cafeteria, so please make sure to say "hi".

When I'm not at school working with all of you, I love to spend time with my two daughters and two Goldendoodle dogs!  

I can't wait to begin this next year with you all and I'll be here for you every step of the way!
