We offer professional learning specifically for new school library media coordinators in the form of two courses:
WonderWake Foundations for School Library Media Coordinators I (for first-year librarians or those in their first year in WCPSS)

WonderWake Foundations for School Library Media Coordinators II (prerequisite: WonderWake Foundations I)

Are the policies and practices in your library what’s best for kids?
What do students need?
What do teachers need?
What does your school community need?
Don’t worry about redesigning the space.
We get it. You want to make the space your own. Before you make any drastic changes, try to live in the library for a year to get a sense of how it needs to be different in order to best serve kids.
Don’t feel pressure to do a massive clean out or weed. Give yourself time to figure out what everything is and learn the procedures for disposal of materials.
