¡Hola! I'm Claudia Castellanos, a passionate Spanish teacher with 15 years of experience in early childhood education. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, I'm thrilled to share my culture with my students and learn about theirs as well. When I'm in the classroom, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing my students' faces light up when they discover something new. My husband Sam and I share a love for adventure and exploration, and our furry companion Lacy loves joining us on our escapades. In my free time, I enjoy traveling to new places, hiking in the mountains, and indulging in delicious food and drinks - especially Colombian coffee and chocolate! But what matters most to me is family - my students, my husband, and our little family, including Lacy. I'm beyond excited to join the family at Joyner Elementary and create a warm and engaging learning environment where my students can thrive and grow. Let's embark on this educational journey together!
