Sra. Méndez 

¡Hola y bienvenidos a la clase de español! Yo soy Sra. Mendez and I am excited to start a new episode of my teaching career at Joyner. I am a native of Colombia, born and raised in Bogotá, where I attended Universidad de la Sabana and obtained my degree in education. I have been a teacher for 22 years.

I love teaching and I  strive to provide as much of my culture as possible into the classroom. I also love music and enjoy playing the guitar with my students, that is why I believe music is an essential part of my classes and a fun way to acquire a second language. Also, through music, traditions, new vocabulary, and expressions are learned, which makes learning much more enjoyable and meaningful.

In my spare time,  I love hanging out with my beautiful family and traveling.

I can’t wait to meet you all and start together this new school year that will come with lots of fun, excitement, and learning!
