About Mr. Flory

I've been teaching math here at Athens Drive High School for over thirteen years. I am thankful to be a teacher sponsor of two clubs at Athens: FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) & Revive (a student-led weekly lunch Bible study). I graduated from N.C. State University in December, 2006, studying there for 2 1/2 years after attending Wake Technical Community College for 2 years. I finished a Master's Degree in HS Math Education at NCSU in 2017, too! My sweet wife of over 15 years graduated from UNC-Greensboro and taught Health & Physical Education at Penny Road & Green Elementary, Woods Charter, and at Wake Tech. We have the cutest boy ever born, Peter, 10, and a sweet spunky girl named Grace who is 8. I am a native North Carolinian and have lived in Burlington, Cary, Greenville, Raleigh, Pittsboro, and Apex. I enjoy reading the Bible, playing disc golf, Rocket League, Ultimate, hackeysack, paintball, hiking, camping, kayaking, and spending time with my family and friends.
