My Artwork

• The intent and purpose of my art is exploratory and therapeutic. I explore a variety of colors and layers to achieve personalities and/or emotions.

• My style is expressionistic. Art is my favorite form of communication. I choose to see the beauty in all things. In most of my work, I use colors to evoke subjective emotions and responses from viewers. In all my work, I also explore mixed media and layering. By opening up my media possibilities, it encourages limitless creativity.

• My passion to create and explore keeps me motivated each day. I enjoy creative problem solving and this keeps me engaged in what I do. I don't always have a full plan when I start a piece so I love the process and evolution from start to finish.

  • Strong artistic skills run in my family and are in my genes. However, my high school art teacher pushed me to expand on what I already thought I knew. Throughout the decades since then, I have continued to expand on my artistic skills and curiosity.
