The intent and purpose of my art is exploratory and therapeutic. I explore a variety of colors and layers to achieve personalities and/or emotions.
My style is expressionistic. Art is my favorite form of communication. I choose to see the beauty in all things. In most of my work, I use colors to evoke subjective emotions and responses from viewers. In all my work, I also explore mixed media and layering. By opening up my media possibilities, it encourages limitless creativity.
My passion to create and explore keeps me motivated each day. I enjoy creative problem solving and this keeps me engaged in what I do. I don't always have a full plan when I start a piece so I love the process and evolution from start to finish.
Strong artistic skills run in my family and are in my genes. However, my high school art teacher pushed me to expand on what I already thought I knew. Throughout the decades since then, I have continued to expand on my artistic skills and curiosity.
*Visual examples of my work are pictured in the above slide show (some are cropped to fit) and are also (fully) pictured in the examples below. Thanks for viewing!
