Mrs. Lane

Hello! My name is Kim Lane, and I love being a part of the FVES kindergarten team! Kindergarten is my most favorite grade to teach! Oh, the joy and wonder of being five! Our class is called The Friendly Frogs!

I am from eastern North Carolina, and I currently live in Willow Spring with my husband, 2 teenagers, and a doggie named Gracie. I have been an educator for 30 years--serving as a K-2 classroom teacher, school administrator, Reading Recovery teacher, Global Literacy teacher, and Intervention teacher. Teaching has always been a joy and a passion of mine.

I am also a National Board Certified teacher in the Early Childhood Generalist area. I hold a BA degree in Art and K-6 Elementary Education Certification from Meredith College and a master's degree in School Administration from East Carolina University. I am a licensed K-12 Reading Specialist and was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and Principal Fellow.

I cannot wait to meet you and your family! We are going to have lots of fun together. Let’s go, FVES rockets!
