Mrs. Morin

Welcome to First Grade! My name is Mary Ellen Morin, and I am thrilled to be a part of your child's educational experience. First grade is an amazing year, and your child will grow in so many ways! We will have a great time learning and growing, and I am here to support you and your child every step of the way!

Here is a little bit about me:

I grew up in Connecticut, attended college in New Hampshire, and started my professional career back in my home state of Connecticut. My family moved to North Carolina from Connecticut 16 years ago, and made Fuquay-Varina our hometown.  We have been a part of the Ballentine family since my son started Kindergarten in 2013. I joined the Ballentine teaching staff in the Spring of 2015, and I love teaching first grade! My prior teaching experience includes Sixth Grade, Third Grade, and Kindergarten.

When I am not in school I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, who are former fireflies, and now attend Willow Springs High School. We also have 2 dogs which make our family complete! When I have time I enjoy reading, walking, making crafts, and going on vacation.
