Without evidence, it is impossible to know if your efforts are creating the change you hope to see. Selecting an evidence-based initiative, rolling it out in a way that can be studied, establishing goals to know what success will look like, and monitoring your efforts will allow you to know if your actions are working.

EVAAS is a web-based reporting tool that measures the average progress students make within the district, school, or classroom compared to the average progress students make statewide. In this session, DRA staff will provide support to educators with instructional responsibility for using the EVAAS tool and those who have questions about their student growth data on the state end-of-grade and end-of-course Math, Reading, and Science assessments in EVAAS. Please take a moment to review the following videos that will help you locate and interpret your school's EVAAS data.

The Data, Research and Accountability (DRA) Team has developed a short video that describes the reports generated after the students take the NC Check-Ins assessments. Now that most schools have administered at least one of these assessments, we encourage teachers to view this video to learn how to use the provided reports. DRA and Testing Office staff will be available during two support hours on Wednesday, December 14th to answer questions related to the reports.
Staff can drop in either between 7:45-8:30 am or 3:00-3:45 pm using this Google Meet link.
