4^th & 5^th Photography & Graphic Design: Students spent two weeks taking different types of photos such as Landscapes, Portraits, Action Photos, Bird’s Eye and Worm’s Eye View, and close-up Photography all around the school. They then edited and chose their best 2 photos from each category and made a photo album. Students created and named their Photography Business, created their business logo and created a business card for their company! They loved this project, and many became fully invested in the creation of their businesses.

3^rd grade Painting: Students have spent this focus area concentrating on color theory while painting almost every class period. They have worked on various paintings that highlighted different color schemes and color theory. Some students even had one of their paintings featured on the NC State Fair Art Exhibit!

2^nd grade Paper Crafting: In this Focus Area, students have been working with paper to create. We have spent these few weeks making origami, foldable books and paper mosaics! Three students have had their paper mosaics featured at the NC State Fair Art Exhibit.

During our Showcase night on October 27^th students will have work displayed from the 3^rd grade Painting class, 2nd grade Paper Crafting Class and 4th & 5th grade Photography & Graphics class.
